Yale conference on the Stern Review – Podcasts

UPDATE May 27, 2008: I just tested the podcast links on this page — the MP3 links don’t work — there appears to be a technical problem at MyPodcasts.com. I’m investigating…The 15 February Yale-hosted conference on the Stern Review offers some of the most useful commentary I’ve encountered on the economics of climate change. Yale has made available the proceedings as REAL streaming video in six segments. For those who prefer portable audio content I have prepared eighteen MP3 podcasts of the panel discussion. I did not create a podcast of the initial Stern Review presentation as it mirrors the content of the Stern report — available on the web.The conference moderator is Ernesto Zedillo, Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization. The panel is comprised of:William Nordhaus, Yale UniversityWilliam Cline, Peterson Institute for International EconomicsGary Yohe, Wesleyan UniversityRobert Mendelsohn, Yale UniversityScott Barrett, Johns Hopkins University, SAISJeffrey Sachs, Columbia UniversityI have edited the audio into one [or two] files for each of the panelists to simplify direct access. I also edited out the introductory and transitional overhead for each discussion to wasted time [such as the five or so minutes where Jeff Sachs and a technician struggled to get his Powerpoint presentation working]. My apologizes to Dr. Zedillo for trimming his bridging remarks. All of the podcasts can be accessed at the temporary Seekerblog podcast site. You may directly download the sixteen files via the following MP3 links:
