Dear John,

Very interesting article. I'm a journalist in Geneva, Switzerland digging around looking at the situation from a national perspective and have a couple of questions if you don't mind?

- How much of the 1.7 tn lent to Eastern Europe is in Swiss francs?
- If defaults became commonplace in EE what effect might it have on the Swiss franc?
- Here Swiss bankers tell me that they're not really exposed, but your article suggests otherwise, taking into account the loans to Austria who would consequently be unable to meet their repayments to Switzerland. Is that a likely scenario?
- Would enjoy speaking to you over the phone if possible?

I manage a Swiss news information service in English called Swisster.ch.

All the best,
