The BBN-based audio/video search engine Podzinger works remarkably well [if they have indexed the content you are looking for]. Podzinger has just been renamed EveryZing. I’ve been using it to locate specific content in podcasts. But how do you know which content has been indexed? That’s not clear to me as yet.
An example - try this search “drew endy overnight delivery“, which will take you right to the segment in Futures in Biotech where Dr. Endy describes what is possible with today’s DNA synthesis process.
That query works because I had discovered earlier that Futures in Biotech was indexed content.
Give it a try — I think this technology well prove increasingly useful with the growth in rich media content.
