Tigerhawk linked to the “Vote Chooser” tool.
It worked very well for me, lining up the candidates according to my policy preferences in almost precisely the order that I would vote for them as president.
I just tried it — also got a reasonable ranking of candidates. Check it out…
Voter Chooser is not kosher….I am veeeery conservative and it selected Hillary Clinton for me….I had to fudge to get McCain or Obama. I could not get Huckabee. I think this was published by someone in the Clinton camp…
Interesting… I just tested Vote Chooser again — it appears they’ve changed the logic, as I submitted same choices, but got Huckabee, Clinton, McCain [6,5,5] this time.
FWIW, an agreement score of 5 = 50%, indicating the core problem with this field of candidates: none are acceptable.
It’s definitely not a fair test… Start by looking at the first question…
Was invading Iraq a mistake?…
“INVADING IRAQ?” This could have easily been asked more appropriately.
Try… Was liberating Iraq a mistake?
Obviously two different feelings about the same topic… Asking the question “was invading Iraq a mistake” draws you to make a specific conclusion if you don’t already have a strong feeling about the situation.
