GDP doesn’t look much like recession

Thanks to Prof. Mankiw for the link. Unemployment continues to get worse, and consumer confidence is awful — maybe GDP is a trailing indicator. And these statistics do get adjusted repeatedly. Or maybe consumers are too influenced by the gloomy TV newsreaders?
